Read the crank
A crank-mounted Hall sensor supplies a stable reference pulse at the known backplate position.
The Electronic Ignition System
Programmable electronic ignition. Direct wireless control. A self-contained system created for British classic bikes.
The heart of the ride
KSPARKS combines precise electronic timing, a built-in rechargeable lithium battery system and an ignition coil inside one rugged enclosure. The motorcycle keeps its character; the rider gains clear, repeatable control.
How it works
The Hall sensor tells the controller where the crankshaft is. KSPARKS calculates the required timing from the selected engine map, controls the coil and prevents the engine being driven beyond the configured maximum RPM.
A crank-mounted Hall sensor supplies a stable reference pulse at the known backplate position.
The controller reads engine speed and selects the programmed ignition advance for that point in the map.
Hardware-timed output controls the coil consistently while the RPM limiter guards the configured ceiling.
What it can improve
Correctly matched ignition timing can improve starting, throttle response and consistency compared with worn or poorly set mechanical ignition. The key is matching the curve to the engine—not simply adding more advance.
KSPARKS does not claim that one map suits every engine. Improvements depend on the engine specification, mechanical condition, fuel and a correct installation. Supported applications receive a suitable baseline setup.
Direct browser control
Connect to the controller’s own Wi-Fi from a phone, tablet or laptop. View live running data, select a supplied bike, add your own bike and build named custom ignition maps without installing an app.

More than factory profiles
Choose a supplied profile, copy one as a starting point or add a completely new bike. Riders can enter their own engine settings and create named custom ignition maps while leaving the supplied profiles and Maps 1 and 2 untouched.

Self-contained by design
The controller, rechargeable lithium battery system and ignition coil are housed together, reducing the number of separate boxes and external electrical dependencies on the motorcycle.

Activation and administration
Each controller displays its own serial number and requires activation before the normal interface becomes available. Rider settings are separated from protected administrator controls.
Email activation@KSparks-CDI.co.uk with the serial number shown on the activation screen, together with the owner’s full name, postcode and purchase date. KSPARKS will supply the activation assistance for that unit.
Incorrect advance or excessive maximum RPM can damage an engine. Use the KSPARKS baseline for your supported application and make changes only when you understand what the engine requires.
